Initially, I was skeptical about how much I’d like this course, but after the first couple of weeks, all of those concerns were eviscerated. The format, structured like a doctoral seminar (speakers coming in and talking for 1-1.5hrs before the class discusses the topic) was extremely engaging. I appreciated the tech/industry side of the speakers’ presentations, but I especially enjoyed the speakers who spent more time talking about life, their experiences, and their travels. Having less than 10 students in the class was perhaps the most significant benefit. Interaction, despite a pandemic, became incredibly personal. I certainly hope this course is offered again (and in a similar format with a similar number of people) because I know just how much I benefitted from this class as a graduating senior.
