MIS @ UGA, Class of 2021
Dr. Chatterjee’s genial demeanor on my first day of class encouraged me to introduce myself to him personally, something I seldom did with other instructors. I remember telling him that I believed he would “be one of the best professors I will ever have,” and without a doubt, he has lived up to that statement.
I have gotten to learn not only is Dr. Chatterjee an amazing professor of Business Process Management, but he is also an engaging mentor who earnestly cares for his students. He went above-and-beyond in his lessons, providing easily-accessible, comprehensive lectures, flexible office hours, and even bringing in professional guest lecturers that provided substantial insight into the professional world. Moreover, his adaptability proved to be more than exceptional, seen during our transition to online-learning due to COVID-19. He was exceedingly prepared and provided a Pandemic Webinar, preparing us with applicable advice for a potentially online-based workforce.
Outside of class, I had the pleasure of attending two Coffee Series in which Dr. Chatterjee delivered his personal journey. His presentation was profound and showed his willingness to create genuine relationships with his students to help guide us academically and professionally.
As much as I have learned from him, Dr. Chatterjee is also open to learning from his students. He introduced to me the concept of reverse-mentorship through his accommodation of student feedback and honest attentiveness to our personal stories. I highly recommend taking Dr. Chatterjee to not only gain a full comprehension of BPMN, but to also gain a valuable mentor, and to help better prepare for future endeavors!
