Student @ The University of Georgia, Class of 2022
Dear Dr. Chatterjee,
I wanted to reach out and thank you for the Pandemic Webinar you hosted with Mr. Holman, Mr. Killian, and Mr. Spence. Usually, I don’t expect to gain much valuable information in video assignments but this was not the case for your webinar. I found myself encouraged by the advice and wisdom that you and the other speakers gave. One part that stood out to me, in particular, was the discussion about how gaining experience, whether paid or unpaid, is considered an investment in yourself and that the pay will come later. That really resonated with me along with the part about taking this time and opportunity to diversify your interests and skills.
I initially had an internship for the summer that was canceled. Thankfully, I was able to get another offer but that search period left me feeling discouraged and anxious. I feel that if I were able to watch your webinar during that time, it would have been incredibly reassuring to me and I hope my fellow peers who are going through that situation feel the same way.
Again, I really appreciate how you care about us and how you took the time and effort to set up this webinar. Thank you also for your vivid passion and enthusiasm for your students and for the material you teach! I thoroughly enjoyed your class and hope to see you again in the fall semester.
I hope you and your family continue to stay safe and healthy!
Warmest regards,
Geraldine Wong
